South Tyneside are consulting on the proposed Main Modifications. Comments are therefore only invited on the following.:

- South Tyneside Local Plan 2023 -2040 Policies Map – Main Modification Schedule (2026)
- Sustainability Appraisal Main Modifications addendum (2026)
- Habitats Regulations Assessment Main Modifications addendum (2026)
- Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP) (Update 2026)
- South Tyneside Local Plan 2023 -2040 – Additional Modifications Schedule (2026)
South Tyneside expect you to comment only on the following which would make the Plan:
Legally compliant, Has the modification and any related material been prepared and consulted on in line with the legal requirements?
Sound: If you think the modification would leave the Plan unsound tell us which test it fails:
(a) positively prepared, (b) justified, (c) effective, (d) consistent with national policy.
What appropriate change is needed?
Remember, DO NOT use these form to raise new site proposals or to revisit objections to parts of the submitted Plan that are not proposed for modification.
This Consultation of the Local Plan is a lot of work, and the Save the Fellgate working group are suggesting that you comment on the following: (this is still a lot of work)
